Ryan’s Renegades is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization formed in November 2023, six months after our son, Ryan, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. After learning about what families in the past have done in order to give us more hope then they ever had, we felt it is our obligation to take the baton and raise money to be used for research to find a cure.

Cystic Fibrosis

What is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.

There are close to 40,000 children and adults living with cystic fibrosis in the United States (and an estimated 105,000 people have been diagnosed with CF across 94 countries), and CF can affect people of every racial and ethnic group.

Symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis

People with CF can have a variety of symptoms, including:

  • Very salty-tasting skin
  • Persistent coughing, at times with phlegm
  • Frequent lung infections including pneumonia or bronchitis
  • Wheezing or shortness of breath
  • Poor growth or weight gain in spite of a good appetite
  • Frequent greasy, bulky stools or difficulty with bowel movements
  • Nasal polyps
  • Chronic sinus infections
  • Clubbing or enlargement of the fingertips and toes
  • Rectal prolapse
  • Male infertility

Life Expectancy

Due to advancements in treatments there has been huge strides gains in Life expectancy for individuals with Cystic Fibrosis. Based on 2022 Registry data, the life expectancy of people with CF who are born between 2018 and 2022 is predicted to be 56 years.

Data from the 2021 Registry show that of the babies who are born in 2021 with CF, half are predicted to live to be 65 years or older.

Kevin Cybularz

Kevin is the Founder of Ryan’s Renegade, after his 3rd son was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Kevin operates TWYN Real Estate, a commercial real estate company with over 20 years experience in commercial real estate, including countless nonprofit real estate transactions. Kevin’s lifelong goal is to leave a positive impact on the world including contributing to the cure of Cystic Fibrosis.

Anthony Riccioli

Anthony Riccioli owns and operates a fourth generation concrete contracting company in Norristown, PA. He is a lifelong parishioner of Holy Saviour church and commits his life to God, his wife and two sons. He hopes to help eradicate Cystic Fibrosis for his godson Ryan Cybularz.

Nick Laffredo

Nick is a co-board member along with lifelong friend Anthony. Nick has been in Law Enforcement for the past 12 years. He has been a member, supporter and fundraiser for the Police Unity Tour since 2016. He is also a representative and member of the Delaware County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation. When Kevin approached Nick about CFF and his vision for Ryan’s Renegades he immediately accepted the amazing opportunity to help fight for a cure.
